Relational Skills in HeartSync Ministry – Class Overview

Class Description

This community experience is being offered in partnership with HeartSync Ministries and is designed to help participants cultivate and enhance relational capacity for wholehearted living and effective HeartSync facilitation. The Basic HeartSync Program is a prerequisite for participation in this class.

Facilitation & Additional Content

This class is led by Christina Fowler, a HeartSync Certified Minister and DC Metro Area Leader. In addition to highlighting teaching content from HeartSync Ministries, she will be sharing insights from Dr. Curt Thompson, Dr. Dan Siegel, Deb Dana/Polyvagal Theory and others.

What to Expect

Meetings will include teaching, personal reflection, interactive discussion, embodied practices, and experiential learning through role play. 

Topics addressed will likely include:

• The importance of paying attention and “tuning into” our own hearts, minds and bodies as we seek to be relationally present with others 
• The essential role of True Self in HeartSync facilitation 
• Attunement: the healing power of being seen and “feeling felt” across the entire breadth of our emotional experience
• The healing power of curiosity, openness, acceptance and love
• Practical ways to enhance a sense of relational safety throughout a HeartSync session 
• The importance of validating, attuning and relationship building before suggesting movement/presenting new options. 
• The journey from disconnection to connection: creating the relational safety needed to draw others into more wholehearted communion with God, self and others. 

Time/Date

This 6-week online class will begin during the 2nd week of April and end in the 4th week of May. The specific timing of the meeting is TBD. Those interested are invited to fill out this form ASAP. 

Cost

The class cost is $195. Space is limited as the group is purposely kept small to allow more intentional community building and interactive dialogue. Those in need of a scholarship are invited to inquire.
