Relational Skills Class with Christina Fowler

Class Description

This community experience is being offered in partnership with HeartSync Ministries and is designed to help participants cultivate and enhance relational capacity for wholehearted living and effective HeartSync facilitation. The Basic HeartSync Program is a prerequisite for participation in this class.

Facilitation & Additional Content

This class is led by Christina Fowler, a HeartSync Certified Minister and DC Metro Area Leader. In addition to highlighting teaching content from HeartSync Ministries, she will be sharing insights from Dr. Curt Thompson, Dr. Dan Siegel, Deb Dana/Polyvagal Theory and others.

What to Expect

Meetings will include teaching, personal reflection, interactive discussion, embodied practices, and experiential learning through role play. Participation is encouraged but not required. 

Topics addressed will likely include:

• The importance of paying attention and “tuning into” our own hearts, minds and bodies as we seek to be relationally present with others 
• The essential role of True Self in HeartSync facilitation 
• Attunement: the healing power of being seen and “feeling felt,” especially in the midst of distressing emotions 
• The healing power of curiosity, openness, acceptance and love
• Practical ways to enhance a sense of relational safety throughout a session 
• The significance of offering validation, attunement and relational connection before suggesting direct engagement with the Lord
• “Bridging the gap” between desynchronized aspects of the heart and the Lord through relational presence 
• How reflecting, clarifying and summarizing  heart synchronization 

Time/Date

This 6-week online class will take place on Thursdays from 1-3pm ET beginning on January 26th and concluding on March 2nd, 2023. 

Cost

The class cost is $185. Space is limited as the group is purposely kept small to allow more intentional community building and interactive dialogue. Those in need of a scholarship are invited to inquire.
