Founder and President
Bishop Andrew Miller
Bishop Andrew Miller, LCSW, is the Founder and President of HeartSync Ministries. He has practiced as a professional individual, marriage, and family therapist since 1990. His practice focuses on resolving severe desynchronization (scriptural brokenheartedness) in people suffering from abuse and trauma. He actively incorporates Biblical healing principles with sound clinical practice.
Andrew holds two undergraduate degrees from Florida State University’s College of Arts and Sciences. One in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry and the other in Math and Science Education. He acquired his Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the School of Social Work at Florida State University.
In 2009, Bishop Andrew was ordained as a priest in the Orthodox Evangelical Episcopal Church. He and his wife Lisa subsequently founded HeartSync Ministries in 2010. In recognition of that calling, he was made a Canon Missioner of Healing in 2013. He served as the Founding Director of Tallahassee Healing Prayer Ministries for ten years – a position he left in 2016 to focus fully on HeartSync Ministries. Bishop Andrew serves as Chaplain to the Archbishop, Dr. Russell McClanahan.
Since the launching of HeartSync Ministries, he travels nationally and internationally presenting a vision for how to use the HeartSync modality in prayer ministry. Bishop Andrew currently resides in Tallahassee with his wife, Lisa, where he teaches the online HeartSync programs.
Director of Training
Sarah Ann Allen
Sarah Ann joined our HeartSync Team as a volunteer in 2017. She came on board as full-time staff in 2021 as the Director of Training, and the Administrative Assistant to Bsp. Andrew Miller.
She holds two degrees from Florida State University: a Bachelor's in English and a Master's in International Affairs.
She fell in love with traveling as a child and has traveled to nine different countries by the age of eighteen. After graduating from college, she continued to explore other cultures. She backpacked through Latin America, went on a Missions trip called the World Race (where she went to eleven countries in eleven months), along with various other ministry and training programs abroad.
Sarah Ann's heart is for connecting with others and it shows as she walks alongside the HeartSync interns through the training process.
History of HeartSync Ministries
HeartSync Ministries was born from Bishop Andrew’s work with severely brokenhearted people. During the early 1990s, some of the fundamental procedures in his “Healing the Broken Hearted" model began to emerge as he worked with the different parts of people’s desynchronized hearts. These were the precursors to the current tools he developed and are now taught through HeartSync Ministries' programs.
In 2009, Bishop Andrew was ordained as a priest in the Evangelical Episcopal Church and subsequently formed the non-profit, Healing the Broken Hearted Inc. as a 501(c)3. Following this, HeartSync Ministries was launched in February of 2010 with the first stand-alone conference. Since then, we have seen rapid growth with HeartSync communities established in North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Texas, California, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, and more.
In June 2018, HeartSync Ministries rolled out the criteria and process necessary to become a Qualified or Certified HeartSync Minister. Our heart was and is to ensure the quality of ministry as taught and lived out by Bishop Andrew.
Are you ready to learn more? Great! The process begins with the Basic Program and you can read more about our Training Process under the "Learn More" menu tab.
